Fabricated 3D signs

Fabricated 3D signs with real depth.

Plan built-up letters, dimensional logos and push-through sign systems as one coordinated construction, finish, lighting and installation decision.

What counts as a 3D sign

Built-up form, visible returns and real depth.

These three construction paths belong on this page. The right one depends on the logo geometry, required depth, lighting effect, viewing distance and installation surface.

Deep fabricated metal dRe letters arranged before installation

Non-illuminated fabricated signs

Built-up acrylic or metal forms create genuine side depth, crisp returns and a more architectural profile than a flat-cut letter.

Lighting can be integrated into a built-up letter or logo for face-lit, halo-lit or combined effects, subject to the artwork and site.

Push-through dimensional signs

A fabricated panel can carry push-through acrylic elements so the dimensional logo projects through the face and lights as one sign system.

Installed by Platinum Signs

The finish depends on the install.

The DIG project shows two installers setting out and fitting raised lettering accurately on brick. Fabricated signs add more construction detail, but the same site fundamentals still matter: alignment, fixings, access, surface condition and electrical coordination where lighting is involved.

DIG is a raised flat-cut lettering example. For that product path and standard instant-pricing options, use the dedicated 3D lettering page.

Choose the construction

Three genuine 3D sign pathways.

Start with the physical form. Lighting, materials, returns, fixings and site access are then specified around that construction.

Built-up

Non-illuminated fabricated signs

Deep acrylic or metal letters and logos with fabricated faces and returns for strong dimensional presence without internal lighting.

Built-up + LED

Illuminated fabricated signs

Fabricated letters or logos engineered around face, halo or combined illumination where night visibility is part of the brief.

3

Panel + projection

Push-through dimensional signs

A fabricated sign panel with acrylic elements projecting through its face to create visible depth and a controlled illuminated effect.

Real project work

Compare genuine built-up signs with the flat-cut lettering, illuminated signs and standard lightboxes buyers often consider alongside them. Each project is labelled by its construction path.

All images are Platinum Signs project or workshop photography. Fabricated 3D work is identified separately from flat cut-out lettering, lighting-first signs and standard lightboxes so the product paths remain clear.

Open the section that matches your job. Essential choices stay easy to scan; comparisons, production conditions and technical detail remain here for a more rigorous brief.

From brief to installation

Four inputs make the first 3D sign quote more useful.

Approximate information is enough to start; fabrication details are confirmed before production.

  1. 1

    Send the artwork

Provide a vector logo where possible, plus brand colours and any finish references.

  2. 2

    Show the site

Send a straight-on photo, approximate sign area and installation address.

  3. 3

    Choose the effect

Tell us whether the sign is non-illuminated, face-lit, halo-lit or a push-through concept.

  4. 4

    Confirm access

Note the wall or fascia material, mounting height, power availability and site timing.
