Description
Affix at switchgear assessed at PPE Category 3 (incident energy 8–25 cal/cm²) per NFPA 70E. Cat 3+ requires the arc flash suit hood — a face shield with balaclava is no longer sufficient. Voltage-rated insulating gloves required for any contact with energised parts.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.
