No Diving Sign

Description

The No Diving sign shows a red prohibition circle and diagonal bar over a black figure diving head-first towards a wavy water line. There is no wording on the panel, so the message reads the same for every language group using the water. It is the sign for shallow ends, rock pools, jetties, pontoons, dam walls and any edge where the depth below is too shallow or too uncertain for a head-first entry. Three square sizes are offered. The 200 x 200 mm panel suits pool-edge walls, balustrades and change-room doors that people pass at close range. The 300 x 300 mm panel is the usual choice for a fence line or the shallow-end wall of a public pool, and the 600 x 600 mm panel is meant for jetties, wharves and beach access points where the sign must be read from a distance. Every size prints from the same master artwork, so the symbol keeps its proportions and colours. Pick the material for the position. Polypropylene suits indoor pool halls, colorbond steel handles sun and rain at outdoor pools and farm dams, self-adhesive vinyl goes straight onto glass fencing or tiles, and aluminium is the rust-free choice for the larger sizes in permanent outdoor positions. Holes for screws and a gloss laminate are optional extras chosen while ordering.

The design follows the AS 1319 prohibition layout of a red circle and diagonal bar over a black pictogram on a white background. Platinum Signs prints the sign to that layout and does not certify compliance for any individual pool, waterway or site.

Tells swimmers and visitors that diving into the water here is not permitted, usually because the depth is shallow or unknown; it does not by itself prohibit swimming.

Frequently asked

Does the sign have any words on it?

No. It is a symbol-only sign: the diving figure inside the red prohibition circle. If your pool or council rules require written wording, add a separate text sign beside it.

Which size should I use at a backyard or apartment pool?

The 200 x 200 mm panel is the right fit for a pool wall, glass fence or balustrade that people stand close to. Move up to 300 x 300 mm for a longer fence line at a shared pool.

Can it go on a glass pool fence?

Yes. Choose the self-adhesive vinyl option, wipe the glass clean and press the decal on working from one side. Add lamination if the fence is hosed down or wiped often.

Which material lasts outdoors near salt water?

Aluminium is the rust-free option for jetties, wharves and beach access points, offered at 300 x 300 mm and 600 x 600 mm. Colorbond steel suits outdoor pools and dams at 200 x 200 mm.

Does this sign also mean no swimming?

No. It prohibits diving only. Where swimming is also banned, use the separate No Swimming sign alongside it.
