Description
The No Fishing sign carries a red prohibition circle and diagonal bar across a black fish with a hook and line above it. It has no wording, so anglers who arrive by boat, by car or on foot all read it the same way whatever language they speak. Councils, water authorities, marinas, aquaculture leases and private landholders use it wherever casting a line is unsafe, unlawful or simply not welcome. The three square sizes cover three viewing distances. At 200 x 200 mm the sign suits a marina gate, a boat-shed door or a rail that people lean on. At 300 x 300 mm it is the standard fit for a bridge parapet, a jetty post or a reservoir fence. At 600 x 600 mm it can be read from a boat or from the far side of a boat ramp. All three print from one master file, so the fish and the red bar keep the same proportions on every panel. Material follows the position. Polypropylene is the light, rigid choice for covered walkways and marina offices, colorbond steel stands up to sun and rain on open jetties and dam banks, self-adhesive vinyl fixes to glass and painted rails, and aluminium is the rust-free option for the two larger sizes on wharves and breakwaters. Drilled holes and gloss lamination can be added to the order where the material allows.
The layout follows the AS 1319 prohibition convention of a red circular band and diagonal bar over a black pictogram on white. Platinum Signs prints to that layout and makes no compliance claim for any particular waterway, lease or site.

Frequently asked
Is there any text on the sign?
No. It shows only the fish and hook inside the red prohibition ring. If a by-law, permit number or fine amount has to appear, order a separate text sign to sit beside it.
Which size works on a bridge or jetty rail?
The 300 x 300 mm panel is the usual fit for a rail, parapet or post. Use 600 x 600 mm if the sign must be read from a boat or from the opposite bank.
Will it survive salt water and sun?
Yes on the right material. Aluminium at 300 x 300 mm or 600 x 600 mm does not rust on wharves and breakwaters, and colorbond steel at 200 x 200 mm handles open-air jetties and dam banks.
Can I stick it to a glass balustrade or a boat?
Order it on self-adhesive vinyl. Clean and dry the surface, then apply the decal from one edge. Add lamination if it will be hosed or scrubbed.
Does it also ban swimming or boating?
No. It prohibits fishing only. Use the separate No Swimming or No Boating signs where those activities are also restricted.
