Description
Use this No Swimming Sign where the responsible operator or site assessment has established that swimming is not permitted beyond a defined approach or access point. The verified portrait artwork has a white field, black border, red prohibition ring and slash over a black swimmer-and-water pictogram, and the exact words NO SWIMMING. It does not explain the reason for the restriction, its duration, the boundary or the emergency response. Install the sign where a person can see and act on the rule before entering the restricted water or passing the access boundary. Typical mounting points are a gate, fence line or approach selected by the facility or land manager. Check the view with gates, vegetation, stored equipment and temporary barriers in their normal positions, and repeat the message at other approaches when one face cannot define the area clearly.
