School Sign

Description

The School sign alerts drivers to educational facilities and enforces speed awareness in populated zones. Manufactured in aluminium and available in 600×600 mm, 750×750 mm, or 900×900 mm, it conforms to AS 1319 standards for public safety signage. Reflective Class 1 sheeting is optional, improving visibility during school hours and poor light. Platinum Signs supplies schools, councils, and contractors with flexible sizing, trade pricing, and fast Australia-wide delivery.

Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked

What size school sign is appropriate for different locations?

Available sizes are 600 x 600mm, 750 x 750mm, 900 x 900mm. Viewing-distance notes are a practical selection aid, not a substitute for checking the approach distance, lighting, mounting position, wording and site risk assessment.

Does the school sign meet Australian safety standards?

The appropriate safety-sign category, wording, placement and supporting controls depend on the product purpose, site risk and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with your WHS adviser or regulator; a sign alone does not discharge WHS duties.

Should I choose reflective sheeting for a school sign?

Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.

Can schools order multiple signs at a discount?

Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.

How long does it take to receive a school sign?

Standard lead time is 5–7 business days. We deliver Australia-wide, and can often accommodate rush orders for urgent safety installations.

Is installation included, or just the sign?

We supply the sign only. Installation should be carried out by a qualified contractor or council team familiar with local road rules and mounting standards.
