Description
Hazardous Creatures signs meet AS 2416.1 requirements and protect swimmers during marine stinger season and at known creature-habitat beaches. The "HAZARDOUS CREATURES" legend pairs with ISO-registered pictograms (jellyfish, blue-bottle, ray, or cone shell) deployed by SLSA, council beach managers, and national parks across tropical and temperate zones. Available in four sizes (225×300 mm to 600×900 mm) across three materials: polypropylene for seasonal October–May deployments that store flat off-season; aluminium for permanent year-round installations at stinger-prone beaches; vinyl strip for indoor notice boards at surf clubs and aquatic centres. Platinum Signs supplies SLSA-accredited signage with bulk discounts for councils and beach organisations. Delivery Australia-wide in 5–7 days; customisation and pre-drilling included.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked
Which creature variant should I order for my beach?
Identify the dominant stinger or creature risk at your location: tropical jellies and blue-bottles (Oct–May, QLD/NT); rays and cone shells (WA southwest); temperate jellyfish (NSW south coast). Consult your local SLSA branch or council marine officer — we can supply the correct pictogram variant.
Is polypropylene durable enough for a full season?
Yes — 1.6 mm polypropylene withstands UV, salt spray, and wind for one full stinger season (Oct–May). Cable-tie mounting to existing posts keeps installation costs low, and the material stores flat indoors after season end.
What's the difference between vinyl strip and rigid materials?
Vinyl strip (adhesive-backed) is for indoor notice boards, clubhouse walls, and temporary mounting surfaces. Polypropylene and aluminium are rigid, outdoor-rated, and designed for coastal weather exposure.
Can I order different creature variants in a single bulk purchase?
Volume-pricing examples are 5 signs: 8% off, 10 signs: 15% off, 25 signs: 24% off, 50 signs: 32% off, 100 signs: 40% off. Savings increase gradually between these quantities. The total increases as you add more signs, while the average price per sign falls or stays the same. The configurator calculates the total for your selected quantity.
Do councils and SLSA clubs get special pricing?
Yes — we offer volume discounts for government bodies, local councils, and SLSA-affiliated organisations. Email your ABN and purchase history to secure your trade account and tiered rates.
