Product details
Confirm the warning required for this location
Check the wording with the person responsible for the electrical installation before choosing a face. HIGH VOLTAGE communicates the hazard, but does not add KEEP OUT, AUTHORISED PERSONNEL ONLY or a site-specific instruction. If the installation calls for a danger heading, an access restriction or different wording, order that exact design rather than treating the messages as interchangeable.
Make the warning visible on the approach
Consider where someone first needs to recognise the electrical hazard: at the approach to an enclosure, a controlled area or an equipment room. Review the view with doors and gates in their normal positions. Stored items and adjacent notices should not hide the triangle or wording. The responsible site person should select the position; the sign dimensions do not define a safe electrical approach distance.
Fit the face to the available space
The small vinyl face needs a suitable smooth, clean surface with enough room for the complete message. Rigid panels provide three larger formats for a wall, backing or holder. Compare both width and height against the clear mounting area, allowing space around labels, vents and operating controls. Use the viewing distance, lighting and any obstructions to compare the three rigid formats.
Choose the panel and fixing arrangement together
Polypropylene gives a lightweight rigid face; Colorbond provides a coated steel panel for mechanical fixing; Corflute is a lightweight fluted option for supported temporary placement. These are sign materials, not electrical protective barriers or insulation. Have installation arranged through authorised site personnel. Do not drill an electrical enclosure or enter a restricted area simply to fit the sign; the surface, access and fixing method need to be approved for that location.
Keep the warning separate from isolation controls
A sign remaining on a door says nothing about whether equipment is energised at that moment. SafeWork NSW guidance treats testing, isolation and access restrictions as separate electrical-work controls. Follow the workplace arrangements and instructions from the responsible electrical personnel. Do not use this catalogue face as an isolation tag, a permit to work or evidence that equipment is safe to touch.
Keep the face readable as the site changes
During routine site checks, look for fading, damage, loose fixings or new obstructions around the warning. Update the sign arrangement if access routes or equipment locations change. Tell us about cleaning chemicals, moisture or outdoor exposure before ordering for demanding conditions so we can discuss the face and support. Keep PS-WAR023 and the ordered size/material with replacement records to match this design.
Check the sign format before ordering
Select the sign through the electrical-safety arrangements for the installation. The sources below address electrical hazards and controls; they do not certify this printed product.
- SafeWork NSW — Electrical work — Electrical work requires risk management and appropriate controls. The guidance addresses testing, de-energisation and restricted access. Read source (opens in a new tab)Use the site’s electrical-safety arrangements; a printed warning does not perform isolation or authorise access.
- Safe Work Australia — Electrical safety overview — Electricity can cause shock, burns and fire. The workplace and exposure conditions affect electrical risk. Read source (opens in a new tab)General hazard guidance, not an insulation rating, safe approach distance or certification of this sign.
Before ordering
- Confirm that HIGH VOLTAGE is the exact warning selected for the installation.
- Choose a position approved by the person responsible for electrical safety.
- Match the portrait size and material to the permitted mounting surface.
- Keep access controls, equipment labels and operating instructions clear.

Frequently asked questions
What is printed on this High Voltage sign?
The PS-WAR023 face shows a black lightning bolt inside a warning triangle, followed by HIGH above VOLTAGE on yellow. It has no voltage number, KEEP OUT instruction or permission to enter. Confirm that this exact warning matches the installation requirement.
Which sizes and materials can I order?
Choose an individual 180 × 240 mm adhesive vinyl sign, or 225 × 300 mm, 300 × 450 mm or 400 × 600 mm rigid panels in polypropylene, Colorbond or Corflute. Rigid thicknesses are 1.6 mm, 0.6 mm and 3 mm respectively. All sizes are width × height; the ten combinations keep the pictured portrait design.
Is this the same as Danger High Voltage Keep Out?
No. This design has a yellow lightning-bolt warning face and the words HIGH VOLTAGE. Danger High Voltage Keep Out carries a different heading and an access instruction. Use the exact message specified for the site rather than substituting one because both mention electricity.
Can I attach the sign to electrical equipment myself?
Arrange the location and installation through the authorised site personnel. They need to confirm the mounting surface, access and fixing method. This sign does not authorise entry, opening or drilling an enclosure, or working near electrical parts.
Does polypropylene or Corflute make this an insulating sign?
No electrical insulation, arc-protection or barrier rating is supplied with these standard sign faces. Choose the material for the approved sign mounting arrangement; electrical protection must come from the controls specified for the installation.
When will the order dispatch?
Most standard safety-sign orders dispatch the next business day after payment. Courier transit is additional, and the delivery charge is shown before you pay. For a large quantity or an essential arrival date, contact us before ordering to discuss fulfilment.
What volume discounts apply?
Volume-pricing examples are 5 signs: 8% off, 10 signs: 15% off, 25 signs: 24% off, 50 signs: 32% off, 100 signs: 40% off. Savings increase gradually between these quantities. The total increases as you add more signs, while the average price per sign falls or stays the same. The configurator calculates the total for your selected quantity.
