Need affordable, weather-resistant signage? Corflute (corrugated polypropylene) is the go-to material for temporary and semi-permanent outdoor signs. Its twin-wall fluted structure makes it incredibly lightweight yet rigid enough to withstand wind, rain, and handling. It's the most cost-effective rigid sign material on the market.
We digitally print your design directly onto the Corflute surface using full-colour UV-stable inks, delivering vibrant graphics with sharp detail. Every panel is precision cut to your exact specifications, from 100mm x 100mm up to a full sheet at 2440mm x 1220mm.
Corflute is the industry standard for real estate signs, construction site signage, event displays, political campaign signs, directional signage, and temporary promotions. The lightweight material is easy to install with cable ties, screws, or simply slotted into A-frame stands.
Corflute is one of the most widely used sign substrates in Australia. Its unbeatable combination of low cost, weather resistance, and lightweight handling makes it the first choice for temporary and semi-permanent applications. With over 6,500 completed signage projects, we've supplied Corflute panels for:
Corflute owns the budget / short-term end of the rigid sign market — nothing else ships a usable outdoor sign at Corflute's per-square-metre cost. It's lighter than every alternative, waterproof, and genuinely recyclable (resin code 5 polypropylene). The print typically lasts 12–18 months in outdoor UV before visible fade. For permanent or longer-term outdoor signage, ACM, aluminium, or acrylic may be a better fit. Here's how the common substrates compare:
| Material | Outdoor lifespan | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Corflute 5mm | 12–18 months | Real estate, events, elections, short-term |
| Polypropylene solid | 6–12 months | Flat-face look, slightly longer life |
| Foam PVC 5mm | 2–3 years | Indoor reception, light outdoor |
| ACM 3mm | 5–7 years | Shopfront fascia, long-term outdoor |
| Aluminium 2mm | 10+ years | Traffic, wayfinding, permanent outdoor |
Corflute signs are cut to order, so you are not restricted to a catalogue size. Enter any dimensions from 100mm up to a full sheet at 2440 x 1220mm in the configurator above and the price updates as you type, in portrait or landscape. That said, four formats account for most of the corrugated plastic signage ordered in Australia, and they exist for good reasons:
If your signs sit in an existing frame, stand or fence panel, measure the visible aperture rather than the frame and order to that size. Corflute is easy to trim on site with a sharp blade, but a factory-cut edge is square, sealed and far cleaner on a customer-facing sign.
Two decisions drive the cost and the performance of a corflute printing order: sheet thickness and whether you print one face or both. 3mm corflute is the lighter, lower-cost option and it is the right pick for high-volume runs that are installed once and retired at the end of a campaign — election signs, open-home arrows, indoor promotions and point-of-sale displays. 5mm corflute is noticeably stiffer, resists wind flex and edge buckling, and holds its shape through repeated install-and-remove cycles. Anything larger than about 900mm on its long edge, anything mounted on stakes in an exposed position, and anything a real estate agency will reuse week after week should be 5mm.
Double-sided printing is worth the surcharge whenever the sign is approached from two directions: footpath and A-frame signage, roadside election signs, corner blocks, and wayfinding at events. Where the back of the panel faces a wall or a fence, single-sided is the sensible choice. Both options print the same way — UV-stable inks applied directly to the polypropylene surface, so the graphic is part of the panel rather than a vinyl layer that can lift at the edges.
Corflute's biggest advantage over rigid alternatives is how easily your own team can put it up. We supply the printed panels; the fixing method is yours to choose. For real estate signs and election signs, wire H-frame stakes push into soft ground in seconds — no tools and no drilling. For fence-line work (construction site signage, hoarding, event wayfinding), cable ties through corner eyelets are the standard method. Order your Corflute signs with metal eyelets and every panel arrives ready to tie, rope or hook straight onto a fence, scaffold or barrier. Stakes, ties and A-frame stands are widely available from hardware and sign-supply retailers — tell us the stand or frame you are using and we will cut the panel to suit it.
Corflute needs essentially zero maintenance for its intended short lifespan. If the print is still sharp and you want to extend use, a wipe-down with warm water removes dust and road grime. Corflute is fully recyclable as polypropylene (resin code 5). For election and real-estate runs where hundreds of signs retire at once, talk to our team about arranging bulk collection and recycling through our waste partners. The wire stakes are steel and separately recyclable (or reusable for multiple sign cycles).
Three sectors buy the overwhelming majority of corflute signs in Australia, and each has its own working pattern. Real estate signs run on templates: a 900 x 600mm agency board, a matching set of open-home arrows, and a photo board refreshed per listing. Once your template is on file with us, repeat orders are a quantity change rather than a new design job, and colour stays consistent from batch to batch.
Election signs are the classic corflute application: large quantities, double-sided, mounted on wire stakes along roadsides and outside polling places, then retired the day after the count. Order quantities up to 1,000 panels are priced automatically in the configurator above. Check your electoral commission's current authorisation requirements before you submit artwork — the authorisation statement has to be part of the printed design, and reprinting a campaign run because the line was omitted is an expensive lesson.
Construction site signage covers site identification, principal contractor boards, mandatory PPE and safety messaging, project renders and developer branding, usually cable-tied to temporary fencing. Corflute suits this perfectly: the panels survive a build programme, cost little enough to replace when a hoarding is reconfigured, and are light enough for one person to fix a full run of fence panels without lifting gear.
Every corflute sign we sell is printed and cut in our own Sydney factory and shipped from there, so you are buying direct from the manufacturer rather than through a reseller. Sydney orders reach most metro addresses quickly, and we deliver corrugated plastic signage Australia-wide — Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, Darwin, Newcastle, Wollongong and regional centres.
The process is deliberately short: configure the size, thickness, sides and eyelets above to get an instant price, place the order, and upload your artwork. Our prepress team checks resolution, bleed and colour before anything goes to print, and comes back to you if a file will not reproduce cleanly. Agencies, builders, event companies and print resellers ordering corflute regularly can apply for a trade account with pricing and repeat-order templates held on file.
Every Corflute sign is printed, cut, and dispatched from our own factory. We stock 3mm and 5mm Corflute in the full 2440 x 1220mm sheet format, so standard real-estate and election orders ship within 2–3 business days to dispatch after artwork approval with no supplier-lead-time risk. Our roll-fed press UV inkjet handles up to 1600mm print width with automatic colour calibration, so repeat real-estate template orders stay consistent batch-to-batch. For agencies rolling weekly open-home signage or political campaigns with 500+ sign runs, we set up trade accounts with repeat-order templates held on file to speed every future job.
